Ingrid and Elodie are totally getting into the tradition of turkey for all the big holidays. Though Thanksgiving is not technically a big holiday it is still worthy of a turkey. I love that they can and want to help prepare it now.
Elodie LOVED making the dressing! She could have stayed there for hours doing the same thing over and over, meticulously tearing hamburger buns into tiny pieces.
Ingrid graduated from making the dressing to peeling the carrots and chopping them up this year. She was a little heavy handed with the peeler resulting in some interesting, very flat carrots. She was having so much fun I let her do the whole bag even though only three of us would actually eat any.
After all that we decided to go to Upper Canada Village again this year for Pumpkinferno. While most of us enjoyed it Elodie did NOT. She found it very spooky and cried nearly the whole time. Fortunately it didn't take us long to make our way through it.
Everyone fell asleep on the drive home.
At about 11:30 and 10 minutes from home I realized that we didn't have any potatoes or dessert for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Derek stopped at Sobey's just in the nick of time to pick up the essentials.
