The very next day after we cut down the tree and dug up the bed, these lilies started to poke through. These are the same lilies that I thought I pulled up and threw away last year because they were so infected with bugs. Little red, lady bug looking bugs. But they were gross and ate all the leaves. The flowers never did bloom. And now they're back. The lillies and the bugs. Yuck. Derek pulled them up and got rid of them for good this time.
